Philosophy

Marilyn's philosophy is that healing is a cooperative process in which the client is a full participant.  Unlike Western Medicine, hypnosis, like other alternative therapies, requires the client to take part in the healing process. Once the client has been hypnotized, it is up to them to follow whatever plan is in place for his/her success. This includes listening to the taped session at least three times a week.  In the case of weight loss, for example, it is important that the client follow an appropriate diet and/or exercise plan.  Smokers are asked to refrain from patronizing establishments that allow smoking for at least 24 hours and to practice daily breathing exercises for relaxation.  Should more than one session be required, clients are expected to attend all sessions to complete their treatment.
